Welcome to Jebel Dahar! This little nugget, unknown to hikers, is only two hours from the island of Djerba. Between the cities of Matmata and Tataouine, this region offers us a unique opportunity to rediscover Tunisia and break the clichés about its hotels and beaches.
Here, the troglodyte habitat is thousands of years old. You will be amazed by these houses carved into the rock that bear witness to a rich and fascinating history. Olive trees are also emblematic of this region and symbolize Tunisian identity.
Day 1: Arrival at Djerba International Airport
Transfer (2h30m) to Toujene for 1 night (overnight in a guest house in Toujene/ Zmerten
Day 2: Toujene – Zmerten – Ksar Hallouf (500m D+ / 4h30-5h walk)
A unique hike that begins with a breathtaking view of the village of Toujene, followed by a crossing of arid lands where herds pass and where surprising small waterfalls are hidden.

Day 4: Zammour – Ksar jouamaa (17km – 450mD+ / 5h30-6h walk)
Get ready to climb the majestic rocky outcrop capped by an ancient ksar that dominates the view of the DAHAR, You can enjoy the fresh and clean air while admiring the breathtaking views of the surroundings.But that's not all, this stage is also known for its refreshing springs.Take advantage of these natural treasures to enhance your afternoon and refresh yourself. Day 5: Ksar Hadada – Ghomrassen / Insefri (D+400m – 14km, 4h30-5h walk)

Day6: Day 7: Chenini Douiret (350m D+ / 11-12km – 4h walk)
The last stage that promises to dazzle you! Start your trip by visiting the old town of Chenini. Let yourself be fascinated by the captivating history of these unique places.
Discover a well-marked path that connects two ancient Berber villages, testifying to the lively passage of the caravans of yesteryear. And finally, you will arrive on foot in Douriet, a splendid Berber village just waiting to be explored.

Day 7: Day 8 : Douiret - Djerba
Transfer Djerba, walk, visit, swimming if possible airport transfer for return flight
or Overnight in Houmt Souk, the capital of the island in an old caravanserai, and on Day 8 transfer to the airport and return flight
