Description
The southernmost of Tunisian oases and one of the gateways to the Tunisian Sahara Desert, the oasis is fed by a spring, which irrigates the palm grove.
This oasis serves as a refuge for about fifty nomadic families living from the exploitation of the date palm, the breeding of goats and sheep.
You can optionally take a camel ride or quad bike ride to visit the ancient Roman fort of Tisavar.

DAY 1
*Departure from your place of stay in Tozeur by 4x4 towards Douz via the Chott El Jerid salt lake
*Visit of the Sidi Bouhlel canyon.
*Visit of the irrigation system of the palm grove.
*Visit to the petrified dunes (Dbebcha).
*Lunch in Douz
*Departure for Ksar Ghilaine, an oasis surrounded by huge sand dunes
*Possibility of camel or quad bike rides (Optional)
*Swimming in the hot spring (optional)
*Settle in the Saharan camp
*Dinner and overnight stay in private tents.
DAY 2
*Breakfast and free time in the dunes.
*Continue to Chenini, the village topped by a rocky ridge at the foot of which stands a very old mosque
Guided tour of the Berber village of Chenini.
*Departure for Ksar Hadada; arrival and visit of the filming location of some scenes from the famous film "Star Wars"...
*Photo break.
*Visit Toujane It is a fortified Berber village on the hillside, which blends beautifully into the landscape. It has many semi-troglodyte houses. With photo break.
*Departure for Matmata visit to the cave houses. It was used as a set in the Star Wars movie to recreate Luke Skywalker's family home.
The cave hotel is an integral part of the trip to Matmata. Small with a very warm welcome.
