Description
The governorate of Gafsa is located in the southern sector of the Saharan Atlas in southwestern Tunisia, between the high steppes and the Sahara, and enjoys a specific geographical location. Indeed, the region is a zone of passage between the countries of the Arab Maghreb (Libya and Algeria) and the African countries through the Saharan road currently under construction (Tunisia-Algeria and Niger by Gafsa-Hezoua). Gafsa is also a crossroads between 5 governorates of 100 km in radius (Tozeur, Kébili, Sidi Bouzid, Kasserine and Gabès) and connecting the north of the country to its south through main roads.
