Description

 The southernmost of the Tunisian oases and one of the gateways to the Tunisian Sahara desert, the oasis is fed by a spring, which irrigates the palm grove.

This oasis serves as a refuge for some fifty nomadic families living from the exploitation of the date palm, the breeding of goats and sheep.

You can optionally take a camel ride or quad bike ride to visit the ancient Roman fort of Tisavar.

• Departure from your place of stay in Tozeur in 4 * 4 direction Douz via the salt lake, Chott El Jérid

• Visit of the irrigation system of the palm grove

• Visit of the petrified dunes (Dbebcha)

• Lunch in Douz

• Departure to Ksar Ghilaine, an oasis surrounded by immense sand dunes

• Possibility of camel or quad ride (Optional)

• Swimming in the hot spring (Optional)

• Departure for the night in the desert, in the Saharan camp

• Dinner and night in private tents

• Breakfast and free time in the dunes

• Departure to Matmata

• Visit Troglodyte house and Sidi Dris

• Lunch in Matmata

• Departure for the canyon of Sidi Bouhlel by Chott El Jérid

• Return to Tozeur and drop off at your place of stay
