Itinerary
Salt Lakes & Mountain Oases
Day 1
Departure from your hotel or agreed meeting point in Djerba toward the ferry crossing.
Continue to Tozeur via El Hamma.
Visit the petrified sand site at Dbebcha.
Cross the vast salt lake Chott El Jerid, the largest salt depression in North Africa.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon excursion to the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza, and Ong Jmel, located on the Saharan Atlas plateau and famous for natural springs and waterfalls.
Arrival at Hotel El Hafsi (3*) or similar – half board.
Sahara Experience & Desert Camp
Day 2
After breakfast, departure toward Douz and visit of the local market.
Camel ride in the dunes.
Continue to Matmata and visit a traditional troglodyte house (Star Wars filming location).
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Drive toward the desert and the oasis of Ksar Ghilane.
Free time to relax in the oasis with optional activities (extra charge):

Quad biking
Dinner and overnight in a traditional Berber tent.
Berber Villages & Ksour
Day 3
Breakfast.
Departure to the Berber village of Chenini.
Visit of the Tataouine market.
Visit of Ksar Hadada, an ancient granary and Star Wars filming site.
Visit of another Star Wars set and lunch.
Return to Djerba via the Roman Road.
Drop-off at your accommodation or agreed location in Djerba.
